ISFB interviews

Access to experts and share our own know-how

You are HR Director at Crédit Agricole Next Bank. Do you have an example of a recent collaboration with ISFB?

We needed a skills adjustment for a number for a number of our employees as part of a new business launch in the field of payment transactions. It was not possible for us to train these employees in-house, so we naturally turned to the ISFB to help us assess our needs and then implement a tailor-made training program. The exercise was a great success, and we were particularly pleased with the outcome. This example shows just how useful an institute like ISFB can be, providing support and adapting to the specific needs of its members.

How important do you think it is to keep your skills up to date as a banking specialist?

I see four main reasons for this. Firstly, the banking industry is evolving extremely rapidly in response to economic, technological and regulatory changes. By keeping our skills up to date, and even evolving them, we can anticipate and respond to new trends and changing customer needs.

Secondly, and more individualistically if I may say so, constantly improving one's skills enables one to remain competitive on the job market and eventually to access new professional opportunities.

Thirdly, from a purely regulatory point of view, keeping skills up to date enables compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, thereby reducing risks for the individual and his or her financial institution.

Finally, and more generally, it helps to maintain the level of excellence and expertise of the financial center in French-speaking Switzerland in an increasingly competitive global banking environment.

What are the advantages for a bank like yours of working with ISFB?

This not only gives us access to a number of experts on specific topics, but also enables us to share our know-how in our areas of excellence. All in all, the ISFB represents an extremely interesting local ecosystem in terms of skills and know-how, useful both for member banks and financial institutes and for all their employees.

What's the advantage of working with ISFB across the entire value chain, from training employees to supporting them as they evolve?

This enables us to anticipate a number of different situations for our employees. Both in terms of highly technical, business-specific training needs, but also in terms of managerial and leadership skills. It also enables our employees to be confronted with different contexts, so that they can continue to progress in their jobs or in their careers.
