Interview with Julian Jacquin, ISFB Certified in Credit
Mr. Jacquin, you recently completed the training leading to the ISFB Credits Certificate. What motivated your choice?
I chose to take the ISFB Credits Certificate course for several reasons. Firstly, as credit is a key element in the Swiss banking sector, I wanted to deepen my technical skills, particularly in real estate financing and Lombard loans, as well as in risk management. Secondly, with the emergence of new financial practices, such as participative financing and securitization, this training offered me a modern approach adapted to market developments. Finally, the certification awarded by the ISFB is a real added value to my professional career, consolidating my legitimacy in the banking sector. The program was therefore an important step towards broadening my skills and providing better support for my customers' projects.
What would you say were the highlights of this program?
The highlights of this training have been many and have greatly enriched my career path. Firstly, mastering different financing solutions, such as corporate, real estate and Lombard loans, enabled me to better respond to specific customer needs, particularly in the private banking environment. Secondly, a deeper understanding of risk analysis was a key element, reinforcing my ability to assess and manage the risks associated with each type of financing. The contributions of recognized experts from the Swiss banking sector were also very enriching, offering concrete, up-to-date perspectives on the market. Finally, the application of the concepts through real-life case studies enabled me to put into practice the knowledge I had acquired, and to develop even greater expertise in the structuring and management of complex loans. These experiences have consolidated my skills and broadened my understanding of the challenges facing the Swiss banking sector.
How has this experience enriched your day-to-day professional practice?
This training has profoundly enriched my professional practice in several ways:
- Improved case analysis: I have acquired a rigorous method for assessing customer needs, analyzing risks and proposing appropriate solutions, enabling me to handle more complex cases more effectively.
- In-depth product knowledge: The diversity of the financing products I have studied (mortgages, Lombard loans, guarantees, etc.) has enabled me to broaden my field of expertise and offer better-targeted advice.
- Mastery of local specificities: By gaining a better understanding of Swiss practices and regulations, I have strengthened my ability to support customers in this specific context, by providing reliable, compliant solutions.
- Strategic vision: This training has helped me to better integrate credit into an overall wealth management approach, linking financing needs with clients' long-term objectives.
In short, it has boosted my confidence and my ability to bring real added value to customers in my day-to-day work.
Why would you recommend this training to your colleagues?
I would recommend this course to my colleagues, as it offers a unique opportunity to develop key skills in the field of bank credit, a central pillar of our business.
