Interview with Brice Rattez, Head of Human Resources at Société Générale in Switzerland
Brice Rattez, you are HR Director at Société Générale in Switzerland. Do you have an example of a recent collaboration with the ISFB?
We've been working with the ISFB for many years, and our collaboration has grown stronger over time. Over the past 3 years, for example, we have worked closely together on the SAQ certification of our sales forces (CWMA certification), on SAQ re-certification packages and on preparing individual employees for various Swiss professional exams.
We also make full use of the ever-expanding range of training courses in the ISFB catalog, including various ISFB Certificates and skills assessments.
You asked ISFB to carry out a series of skills assessments. Can you tell us about them?
In 2022, we launched a new program within Société Générale Private Banking (Suisse) SA: the "trio gagnant", aimed at enhancing the internal employability of our employees. It is based on 3 pillars: a skills assessment, to identify strengths and areas for improvement; coaching, to help employees define their potential career paths; and training, to develop their skills. For this type of program, the ISFB is a partner of choice, both for skills assessments and for training courses requested by our employees. To date, some thirty Bank employees have benefited from this program, and their feedback has been very encouraging.
What are the advantages for a bank like yours of working with ISFB?
In terms of skills development, the ISFB is very well integrated into the economic and academic fabric of the French-speaking part of Switzerland, which means that it is able to provide top-quality, up-to-date training.
We also value the fact that ISFB lecturers are banking industry professionals! It's reassuring to have access to experts, recognized in their field, who tackle the issues presented in the courses on a daily basis, and refer to real-life cases that they deal with in their functions at other member establishments. In my opinion, this is ISFB's greatest strength.
