Context
The aim of the "Staff and Support" certificate is to train specialists capable of intervening transversally in support activities within financial institutions. Participants will acquire the knowledge to navigate transversally and globally between the various banking functions, manage communication flows effectively, and optimize internal processes. The program addresses the current challenges faced by support entities, but also by staff management support entities. Thanks to a hands-on approach, participants will develop a global vision of the bank while mastering the technical and organizational aspects of their role.
Key objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Develop a strategy for optimizing decision-making and operational flows, taking into account regulatory and operational requirements.
- Compare function organization models (i.e. insourcing vs. outsourcing) to identify best practices in different contexts.
- Assess the impact of technological developments, such as automation and artificial intelligence, on banking functions.
- Use process optimization principles to improve the efficiency of internal operations.
- Describe the importance of integration and coordination between different banking functions to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify the main functions and processes of a management, planning or executive support staff, such as operations processing, decision flow management and reporting.
Target audience
- Staff specialists, management assistants, cross-functional project managers, specialists working in back-office functions, specialists working in support functions (logistics, IT, communications and marketing, etc.), specialists working in front-office functions who want to broaden their understanding of how a financial institution operates in its cross-functional areas.

ISFB lecturers have been working in the banking and financial world, or in their respective fields, for many years and are recognized as some of the best experts in our ecosystem in French-speaking Switzerland.

Certification
- Participants who pass the final exam will be awarded the ISFB Staff and Support Certificate.
- ISFB Certificates are recognized and particularly appreciated by our institutional members
- 14 modules, over 14 non-consecutive days (an average of 2 days per month)
- In person at the ISFB premises
- Weekdays, from 08:30 to 17:30

Your registration will then be considered as firm and definitive. 3 weeks before the beginning of the training, you will have access to our ISFB collaborative space, then a few days before the beginning of the training to the specific space reserved for the participants of this training.
The general conditions of the ISFB apply as soon as you validate our offer.
Opening of the next session
Session currently being planned for the second half of 2025. Registration already possible on waiting list. Maximum 15 participants per session.
Examination information
The validation of the certificate is done through a written exam of the QCS type (simple choice questionnaire, one and only one correct answer) of 120 minutes. The emphasis is on understanding, application and the ability to analyze and solve concrete cases using the tools and methods seen in training. Candidates are allowed to consult course materials, appendices and personal notes (open-ended exam concept)
