Interview with Ignacio Ramirez, lecturer in the ISFB Future of Finance Certificate Program
April 14, 2026
To understand the technological transformations taking place in finance today, we must look beyond general discussions about artificial intelligence and focus on its practical applications. As part of the ISFB Future of Finance Certificate program, which begins in a few weeks, Ignacio Ramirez discusses the latest tools, their applications in the financial sector, and the new opportunities they open up—including for non-technical professionals.
Ignacio Ramirez, you are speaking as an ISFB lecturer in the ISFB Future of Finance Certificate program. What is the topic of your presentation?
My presentation focuses on the latest artificial intelligence tools applied to finance, with a particular emphasis on “vibe coding.” This is an emerging approach that allows non-technical professionals to create functional applications simply by describing what they want to achieve, with the AI handling the technical aspects. The goal is to demonstrate how these tools are actually transforming the day-to-day work of finance professionals.
How do you view the “Future of Finance” from a technological perspective?
We are at a turning point. Artificial intelligence will indeed replace certain roles in finance, but those who know how to use it will have a significant advantage over those who don’t. What strikes me is the sheer scale of the opportunity for professionals who are willing to roll up their sleeves, experiment, and think creatively. Tools are evolving at a remarkable pace, and those who invest time today to master them will be at the forefront for years to come. It’s an exciting time for anyone who is curious and ready to learn.
What are the concrete benefits of your presentation?
The main goal is to demonstrate the range of possibilities. Many finance professionals still view AI and tool development as something complex and reserved for engineers. My presentation aims to challenge that perception. With a little creativity and the right tools, it is now possible to solve very concrete problems without any technical barriers. Participants leave with a clear understanding of what is achievable today and, above all, with the desire to try it for themselves.
