Trajectoires et Transitions: supporting banking professionals in their development.
In the fast-changing banking and finance sector, it has become essential to support professionals in their career transitions. The ISFB's "Trajectoires et Transitions" program offers targeted, innovative and humane support, designed to equip everyone to face the professional and personal challenges of these periods of change. In this interview, discover the origins, keys to success, concrete benefits and the role of the team in this unique program, designed to reveal and strengthen emerging talents.
Diana, could you tell us about the origins of the 'Trajectoires et Transitions' program and the reasons behind its creation?
The ISFB Trajectoires et Transitions program supports professionals in the banking and finance sector in their career transition. Designed to provide a stimulating and supportive environment, the program helps you to better understand the market, explore your personal resources and rediscover the meaning of your career path.
Over five half-days, participants activate key skills, strengthen their narrative posture and clarify their professional positioning. Group dynamics play a central role: connecting with others also means revealing oneself. This program is the fruit of a collective effort led by a passionate team from the sector, who wanted to create an innovative approach, deeply connected to its time, while anchoring the program in the very essence of the banking world.
With a targeted rather than generalist approach, our strength lies in our banking DNA, our in-depth knowledge of the field and our strong motivation to support these professionals, by mobilizing both our operational strengths and our cross-disciplinary skills.
As a center for skills development, ISFB has designed this program to support these sometimes fragile, but profoundly fertile transitions.
Every trajectory involves transitions which, when properly managed, become levers for transformation.
Joseph, what do you think are the keys to a successful career transition in the banking-finance sector today?
In today's banking and finance sector, the keys to a successful career transition are based on several essential elements. Mastering technical and digital skills - fintech, data management, cybersecurity - is crucial to adapting to a constantly evolving technological environment. Added to this is an understanding of the sector's regulatory and economic challenges, essential for remaining relevant in a changing environment.
But social skills play an equally strategic role: the ability to communicate, collaborate, network and maintain solid professional relationships has become a real lever of opportunity. In a competitive market, proactivity, agility and openness are essential.
At ISFB, we encourage participants to think actively about their professional future, while emphasizing the importance of continuing education as an essential pillar of a sustainable and progressive career path.
Joseph, what concrete benefits do you observe among participants between the beginning and end of the program?
Telling your story, being relevant, talking to strangers or seizing opportunities can be a real challenge, sometimes perceived as insurmountable. We are well aware of these obstacles, and we offer friendly support that respects each individual's pace, to help overcome fears, inner judgments and limiting automatisms.
We recognize the richness and uniqueness of each individual, and encourage them to express their strengths with pride, but also with accuracy and humility. Through a structured and supportive framework, participants learn to position themselves with greater clarity and confidence, to create a coherent narrative of their career path, and to interact more serenely with their professional environment. They develop a fine-tuned understanding of the requirements of the market, their sector and their function, and know how to build appropriate job search strategies and plan them realistically. As a result, they become more agile, innovative and capable of building their professional future.
Diana, what role does the collective play in a journey as personal as professional transition?
The collective plays a fundamental role in a career transition process, as it enables participants to come face to face with a diversity of representations and life experiences. This sharing of experiences is extremely enriching, as it offers a broader, more nuanced perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing each individual. By interacting with others, participants see their own representations evolve and transform, contributing to greater personal and professional well-being. The collective creates an environment of support and exchange, conducive to mutual enrichment and collective progress.
