Learn, grow, and get ready for the new school year: ISFB’s upcoming programs

As the summer break approaches, the ISFB is offering a selection of programs designed for professionals in the banking and finance sector in French-speaking Switzerland, as well as for young talent looking to enter the field. Short courses, certificates, SAQ certifications, career mobility, and transition preparation: several options are available throughout the summer and starting in September.

Banking expertise is built over time. It is developed through various roles, career paths, teams, and periods of professional transition. For the second half of the year, the ISFB is offering employees of banking and financial institutions in French-speaking Switzerland several programs designed to meet their needs for training, certification, specialization, and employability.

This selection is intended for employees already working in the sector, managers, specialists, certified advisors, and those seeking career opportunities, as well as recent college graduates who wish to learn more about careers in banking and finance.

During the summer

ISFB Summer School

The ISFB Summer School is designed for college students and recent graduates interested in learning about the banking and financial sector. Organized over two weeks with the support of several HR experts from local banks, the program offers an initial immersion in the various roles, the sector’s expectations, and the realities of the hiring process.

The program is also open to the children of employees at member institutions.

Generative AI for Banking Professionals

Generative AI is gradually becoming part of professional practice. For banking specialists, it is not just a matter of knowing the tools, but of understanding their uses, limitations, and legal, technological, and human impacts.

This three-day program is designed for employees in the banking and financial sectors. No prior knowledge is required.

Certificates of Specialization

ISFB Private Banking Certificate

A 14-day program designed to strengthen the foundational banking knowledge of employees who did not receive their initial training in the banking sector.

ISFB Certificate Management Assistant

A 14-day program designed for administrative assistants or those seeking to enter this field.

ISFB Certificate in Governance and Risk Management for Directors

A program exclusively for female and male directors who currently serve on a board of directors or are seeking to do so. It is offered in partnership with ACAD and the Swiss Circle of Female Directors.

ISFB Certificate in Sustainable Finance

A program designed for banking and finance professionals who are expected to integrate sustainability into their practices, decisions, and risk assessments.

ISFB Certificate Credits

A program designed for professionals who analyze, organize, or monitor loan applications at a bank or financial institution.

ISFB certificate Wealth planning

A multidisciplinary program covering real estate, retirement planning, taxation, estate planning, and business succession.

ISFB Future of Finance Certificate

A program designed for finance professionals who want to better understand the impact of technology in the broadest sense on their profession.

ISFB Family Officer Certificate

A program designed for families, as well as professionals working with single- or multi-family offices.

ISFB Certificate in Banking Management and Adaptability

A program focused on management and dealing with uncertainty in the banking sector, designed for executives in the industry in French-speaking Switzerland.

ISFB Compliance Officer Certificate

A program designed for compliance professionals.

ISFB Certificate in Internal Control and Risk Management

A program designed for professionals in the fields of internal control, internal audit, and risk management.

ISFB Certificate in Staff and Support

A program designed for back-office and non-front-office professionals who wish to develop a broad understanding of the banking industry.

SAQ Programs and Seminars

Preparing for CWMA SAQ certification

An interbank session in French to prepare for the SAQ CWMA certification. An English-language session is also being planned in the Canton of Zurich; please contact us if you are interested.

Digital Finance – Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Cryptoassets

Three short 4-hour modules, which also qualify for SAQ recertification.

Refresher Seminar – Sales Force Development

A seminar for customer service representatives that also serves as SAQ recertification.

Career Paths, Mobility, and Employability

ISFB Trajectories & Transitions Program

A joint interbank program designed for employees undergoing internal transfers or leaving their current institution. It can serve as an alternative to a more expensive individual outplacement program.

Preparing for early retirement

A program designed for employees of member institutions to help them better prepare for this phase.

A Collective Response to Skills Needs

Training, certifying, providing guidance, and preparing for career transitions: these tasks are central to the ISFB’s role in the banking and financial sector in French-speaking Switzerland.

By offering interbank programs and solutions that can also be customized for individual institutions, the ISFB supports the professional development of practitioners, the quality of career paths, and employability within the profession.
