History of Swiss finance
Participants will establish a review of the history of finance, in order to build a solid foundation of financial culture. This exploration will include the major stages in the evolution of financial systems, with a specific focus on the history of finance in French-speaking Switzerland, enabling a better understanding of local dynamics and their influence on today's banking landscape.
General culture and IT issues
Art and inspiration in leadership
Using musical metaphors and practical activities, participants will work on the elasticity of their relationship with time, their ability to adapt, and the way they embody their managerial role in a variety of contexts. This approach fosters better self-understanding, more fluid communication, and the ability to improvise in complex and changing environments.
This course is designed to develop the relational and behavioral skills that are essential for navigating with agility in modern organizations.
Recruitment
Through teamwork structuring techniques, role-playing and feedback, the course encourages the emergence of agile leadership, capable of adapting to the unexpected while maintaining cohesion and collective performance. Interaction with the ISFB lecturer and other participants reinforces learning through dialogue and co-construction.
This module is part of an applied management approach, where strategic thinking is combined with practical tools that can be directly transferred to everyday professional life.
Banking Law
Participants will review the fundamental principles of banking law, in order to better understand the legal framework in which financial institutions operate.
Employment law
This course will enable participants to better navigate the legal issues of daily professional life, while consolidating their managerial posture with clear and directly applicable benchmarks.
Forecasting & analysis techniques
In addition, the course introduces participants to simple statistical analysis techniques, useful for supporting prospective thinking with concrete data. The aim is to enable participants to mobilize accessible tools to enrich their strategic vision, without requiring advanced mathematical or IT skills.
This module thus fosters an analytical and anticipatory approach to management, essential in a banking sector undergoing constant transformation.
Immersion in an uncertain environment
Through concrete examples and perspective, participants will analyze how practices from the world of health, culture, sport or even tech can enrich the way they lead teams, make decisions or manage complex situations. In this way, the course fosters an open, inquisitive and adaptable posture, essential in a constantly changing banking environment.
Theatrical improvisation
Rhetoric and speaking
Formats such as the elevator pitch are used to work on conciseness, impact and self-confidence in front of a group. The aim is to strengthen personal communication skills, while cultivating a flexible, responsive and authentic managerial posture.
Stress prevention & performance
Through practical exercises and theoretical input, the course explores the mental, emotional and organizational levers that enable top-level athletes to perform sustainably - and how these principles can be transposed to the world of banking management. The aim is to strengthen individual resilience, stress management and the ability to steer performance with lucidity and balance.
Mediation
Through theoretical contributions and practical exercises, the course enables participants to understand the relational mechanisms at the root of conflicts, to identify the levers for resolution, and to develop skills in non-violent communication, emotional management and reasoned negotiation.
The aim is to reinforce managers' ability to act as mediators or facilitators in their professional environment, by cultivating a posture of neutrality, clarity and mutual respect.
Defense
This project takes the form of a poster, structured around three themes:
Initial Perspective: reflection on managerial approach and professional expectations at the start of the program, based exclusively on Module M01.
Pragmatic Learning: summary of lessons learned from all modules, illustrating concrete achievements.
Future Perspectives: Projection into the professional future, identification of personal development, and definition of four concrete actions to strengthen one’s role as a conscious and adaptable manager.
The presentation is delivered in a group setting before all participants during a defense session lasting no more than ten minutes. It may be followed by questions from the jury or other participants.
