Appointment of the new Director of the Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire (ISFB)

Geneva, October 3, 2022 - The Board of the Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire (ISFB) has appointed Mr. Mathias Baitan as the new Director as of October 1, 2022, succeeding Mr. Frédéric Kohler who has retired.

Mathias Baitan is 45 years old and has over 20 years of managerial experience in the fields of organization and human resources in the banking industry. He started his career in 1999 with Banque Cantonale de Genève and then with Banque Pictet as Project Manager. In 2009, he was appointed Chief of Staff of BCGE's General Management before taking over the head of its administrative back-office department. He continued his career from 2013 to September 2022 as HR manager for the transversal functions of the same bank, in parallel with a position as lecturer at the HES and academic director of the diploma in Organizational Health and Resilience at the Geneva School of Management (HES-SO). He holds a doctorate in economic and social sciences from the University of Geneva, a bachelor of science in psychology and a federal diploma in human resources management.

The Board of ISFB is pleased to have found in Mathias Baitan a profile who, thanks to a rich experience gained both in the banking sector and in the field of education, has all the qualities required to lead the Institute.

Through its President Christian Skaanild, the Board of the ISFB warmly thanks Frédéric Kohler for his remarkable commitment during the last ten years at the head of the Institute.
