September 29, 2025

Arab Bank Switzerland has joined the ISFB to offer its employees access to benchmark training courses and reinforce the excellence of its teams. In this interview, Amelie Bourdinaud explains how this membership supports skills development, fosters innovation and contributes to making the bank a benchmark employer in the Swiss banking sector.

What were the main reasons why your company decided to join the ISFB as an institutional member?

We have joined the ISFB to broaden the choice of benchmark training courses we offer our staff. These courses will enable them to keep abreast of the latest developments and continue to offer customized solutions to our customers.

Within the ABS Group, we place particular emphasis on excellence and expertise. The ISFB is a privileged partner in achieving these objectives.

Could you tell us a little about your establishment?

Arab Bank Switzerland currently employs around 190 people in Switzerland. Our teams are specialized in three business lines: Private Banking, Treasury and Commodity Trade Finance. We also have a pioneering team specializing in digital assets, combining banking know-how with technological innovation.

The acquisition of Gonet & Cie SA nearly three years ago, followed by the merger with ONE swiss bank last year, strengthened our local presence and brought the ABS Group's consolidated workforce in Switzerland to over 300.

Our strategy is to combine traditional banking expertise with cutting-edge technological solutions. To this end, we place agility, compliance and sustainability at the heart of our actions, in order to best serve all our customers.

How do you see this membership contributing to the development of your employees' skills and enhancing the attractiveness of your employer brand?

Our membership of the ISFB gives our teams the opportunity to continuously develop their skills, within a framework recognized by the Geneva financial community as a whole. It supports our culture of continuous improvement and confirms our ambition to be a benchmark employer in the private banking sector.

What types of training or certification offered by the ISFB seem particularly relevant to your teams?

Certifications in risk management, compliance and sustainable finance, as well as SAQ and CWMA accreditations, are among our top priorities to guarantee excellence. In addition, short, targeted formats ensure rapid integration of regulatory and technological developments.

What do you think our professional association can contribute to the French-speaking world?

The ISFB contributes to raising the level of expertise and strengthening the credibility of the French-speaking financial center. It facilitates the sharing of best practices and the dissemination of innovation within the sector, thereby supporting the attractiveness, competitiveness and sustainability of Geneva's financial center.
