ISFB Future of Finance Certificate: Lino Finini presents the challenges and objectives of the program

Mr. Finini, you are the Program Director of the ISFB Future of Finance Certificate. Could you give us an introduction to this program and tell us who it is aimed at?

This program provides all participants with a comprehensive overview of how the world of finance is evolving to incorporate new technologies, new forms of communication and security issues. The world of finance is, or should be, in the throes of change, in order to continue to offer a range of services in line with the expectations of a new generation of customers, in harmony with the evolution of information systems or the development of available asset classes. The program is aimed at anyone interested in understanding today's challenges and creating tomorrow's bank.

In your opinion, what makes this program so rich and high quality?

I'm convinced that this program is extremely interesting! The richness lies in the range of subjects on offer: from digital communication to webmarketing; from artificial intelligence to blockchain and crypto-currencies; from the world of fintechs and participative investment to data management and the indispensable understanding of cybersecurity issues. There's no doubt that, thanks to these themes, ISFB offers an enriching program whose quality is assured by the profile of the speakers chosen.

What do you see as the main challenges in this area, and how does this program provide concrete solutions?

The stakes are primarily strategic and commercial. For some financial institutions, these topics may still seem futuristic, but this is not the case, as we need to start preparing now for the adoption of some or all of these elements, and for their concrete implementation. The main risk is in failing to identify in good time the actions that need to be taken to avoid being left behind in the commercial race.
The aim is that, by the end of this program, participants will be able to tackle each of the topics proposed, and to concretize an evolution strategy to be implemented in their company if necessary.

What is your role as Program Director?

In my 23 years with the online bank Swissquote, I have acquired a wealth of experience in all aspects of this program. It is therefore with great pleasure that I have accepted to lead this program, for which I define the guidelines and evaluate the work of the speakers and participants, to ensure that the overall proposal remains coherent and incorporates the latest developments.
