Context

In an ever-changing regulatory environment, this training program enables GFI professionals to update their knowledge of the key legal and prudential developments affecting their operations. It focuses on recent developments in compliance, governance, technology risks, and the professional competencies expected by regulatory authorities.

Key objectives

This training course provides a comprehensive overview of major regulatory developments, including changes to the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and transparency requirements for legal entities, FINMA’s position papers on artificial intelligence and quantum computing, new due diligence requirements related to certain asset classes under the Financial Services Act (LSFin), as well as cross-border organizational issues and sanctions under the Financial Market Act (LEFin). It also incorporates lessons learned from FINMA Circular 25/02 to enhance understanding of prudential expectations and best professional practices.

Target audience

This training program is designed for professionals in the Geneva financial center who wish to keep their knowledge of regulatory and prudential matters up to date, particularly bank employees, independent asset managers (IAMs), multifamily offices, asset management firms, trustees, and financial institutions subject to FINMA supervision. It is particularly well-suited for portfolio managers, client advisors, compliance officers, risk managers, members of executive management, internal control officers, as well as employees involved in cross-border activities, anti-money laundering efforts, and the implementation of requirements under the LSFin and LEFin.
