June 30, 2026

After more than twenty years of experience in banking, Gloria Anchisi, Wealth Management Team Assistant and Authorized Representative at Raiffeisen Bank Geneva-Rhône Region, completed the ISFB Assistant in Wealth Management Certificate program to strengthen her knowledge and better understand her role in the private banking value chain. Interview.

Ms. Anchisi, could you tell us about your career path and your current role working with advisors or management teams?

I have been working in the banking industry for over 20 years, primarily as a client advisor. This experience has allowed me to develop a solid understanding of client relations, to grasp clients’ needs, and to gain a comprehensive overview of banking operations.

For the past two years, I have been working as an assistant on the Wealth Management team at Raiffeisen Bank, Geneva-Rhône Region. I currently support six portfolio managers—and will soon be supporting seven—in their day-to-day activities. My role involves handling the administrative and operational aspects of client accounts, coordinating communication with the bank’s various departments, and helping to ensure the quality of the service we provide to our clients.

This role allows me to work at the heart of the private banking business in a dynamic, demanding, and particularly rewarding environment.

Why did you decide to pursue the ISFB Certificate in Management Assistant?

I enrolled in this training program on my own initiative in order to supplement my practical experience with theoretical knowledge and to strengthen my expertise in my current role.

After more than 20 years in the banking industry and my move to a wealth management team, I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of certain specific aspects related to administrative management, organization, and the requirements of private banking.

ISFB’s training programs are recognized in the French-speaking Swiss financial sector and help participants stay informed about regulatory changes and the ongoing transformations in the banking industry. This training program therefore represented an excellent opportunity to continue growing professionally.

How has this training helped you in your day-to-day work: in terms of organization, customer relations, product knowledge, and coordination with teams?

This training allowed me to update and strengthen my knowledge in several areas that are essential to my job.

The regulatory aspect was particularly rewarding for me, as it is an area that interests me greatly. It gave me a better understanding of the requirements that govern our business and their impact on the day-to-day management of client accounts.

I also really appreciated the lessons on time management, which now help me better organize my priorities and work more efficiently.

Finally, the technical aspect was a significant benefit. Being able to combine my hands-on experience with more in-depth theoretical knowledge has strengthened my skills and my understanding of certain banking mechanisms. This synergy between practice and theory now allows me to perform my job with greater assurance and confidence.

Which aspects of the program were particularly helpful in helping you better understand your role in the private banking value chain?

The training gave me a more comprehensive view of the business and helped me better understand the interactions between the various stakeholders, as well as the impact of our work on the quality of service provided to customers.

I also really enjoyed the modules on artificial intelligence. I found this topic extremely inspiring and fascinating. It was particularly interesting to understand not only the opportunities offered by AI but also the challenges it poses in the banking sector. It’s a field that fascinates me, and I’ll continue to follow it with great interest.

Looking back, what would you say to someone working as an administrative assistant who is still hesitant about taking this course with the ISFB?

I would tell them not to hesitate. Whether you work in retail banking or private banking, this training program helps you broaden your knowledge, deepen your understanding of the banking industry, and gain a better grasp of the challenges of our profession.

The courses are practical and professional, directly applicable to everyday work, and help you gain confidence in your role. It’s also an excellent opportunity to continue your professional development in a constantly evolving industry.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the ISFB for the high quality of this training program, as well as to our training manager, Oscar Marano, for his availability, professionalism, and support throughout this process.

I would also like to thank my employer, Raiffeisen Bank Geneva-Rhône Region, and the management team for their support and the trust they have placed in me. Thanks to their support, I was able to have a wonderful professional development experience that was particularly enriching, both on a personal level and in terms of the skills I acquired.
