Develop your expertise to better support your customers - Interview with Kateryna Petretti on the CWMA SAQ Certification Program

September 1, 2025

Through her training at ISFB, Kateryna Petretti describes how developing her skills enhances both her professionalism and the quality of the support she offers her customers.

Kateryna Petretti, you have taken several training courses at ISFB. Can you tell us what motivated your choice?

In fact, I took two successive training courses: the ISFB Private Banking Certificate and the ISFB Investment Advisor Certificate. Without a doubt, I'd say that the main motivation came from the desire to deepen my knowledge in these two fields and, as a result, improve the level of service I'm able to offer my clients.

And it goes without saying that the reputation of the ISFB, which brings together the main financial market players in French-speaking Switzerland, only strengthened my conviction that this was the best way to perfect and enhance my skills.

What do you think were the highlights of these programs?

The ISFB lecturers brought a positive and passionate spirit to their respective professions, which they practice on a daily basis. They both demonstrated their expertise and succeeded in passing on their knowledge to us. Each theoretical part was followed by concrete examples, which gave us keys to understanding the subtleties of many complex financial instruments.

How have these training courses enriched your day-to-day professional practice?

The practical aspect of the cases dealt with during the two training courses was a testament to the speakers' ability to provide us with concrete tools that we can use directly in our professional lives. Of course, the advice I've given my customers has always been the fruit of in-depth personal reflection, but I'm delighted to be able to draw on even more extensive and specialized knowledge. Finally, the fact that I can tell my customers that I have successfully completed these two training courses only reinforces, in their eyes, my seriousness and professionalism.

After obtaining these various ISFB Certificates, you opted for the SAQ CWMA Certification Program to deepen your expertise in wealth management and obtain the aforementioned certification. Can you tell us more about this choice and your expectations of this training course?

I've always been enthusiastic about taking training courses. Having successfully completed two of them in close succession convinced me to go further and pursue this enrichment, both personally and professionally. And so it seemed obvious to me that the logical follow-up to my first two achievements was to obtain the SAQ CWMA Certification. Obtaining it will only strengthen my confidence in my abilities and enhance both my professional development and the quality of my relationships with my customers. Finally, the preparation program could prove to be a decisive factor in my future career development.

Finally, why would you recommend ISFB training to your colleagues?

Stepping out of one's comfort zone to deepen and enrich one's knowledge is a unique, motivating and highly enjoyable experience. Getting away from your daily professional life to meet other people active in the financial sector, but in different environments and contexts, is very enriching and opens up new horizons. Last but not least, doing it at an institute with an established reputation, which brings together more than fifty banking and financial institutions across French-speaking Switzerland, and involves more than 150 specialist speakers in its specialization programs, is an approach I highly recommend.
