CAS Financing and Investments
Context
This CAS proposes a review of both fundamental and innovative themes in the investment field, as well as in peripheral issues (financing, entrepreneurial services, wealth planning, etc.),
Key objectives
- take part in an exploratory, informative or analytical discussion;
- exchange views with specialists or take note of their inputs (presentations, reports, etc.);
- make a well-founded decision, taking different parameters into account;
- evaluate the relevance of potential solutions and the state of the art of existing solutions;
- make justified proposals;
- monitor trends and the direction in which the theme is moving.
Target audience
- people working in the front-office sector (direct contact with customers)
- anyone wishing to enter management positions in the financial sector, requiring a thorough understanding of customer solutions.

The methods of assessment are defined in the degree program regulations.
To obtain the degree, students must attend all modules regularly and complete all required work to the satisfaction of the teaching staff. All absences must be justified. An overall average of 4.0 is required to obtain the diploma. Only one grade between 3.0 and 4.0 can be validated. A grade below 3.0 does not entitle the student to credits and requires the module to be repeated the following year.
The diploma is awarded to participants who have satisfied the knowledge assessment requirements for each of the diploma modules.

Admission requirements

Candidates with a tertiary degree A
For example: Bachelor's degree or equivalent as determined by the HES-SO.
Must demonstrate sufficient professional experience in the relevant field.
Candidates with a tertiary B qualification
For example: ES diplomas, federal certificates or diplomas.
Must provide proof of three years of professional experience in addition to that required for holders of a tertiary A qualification.
Candidates who do not hold a tertiary qualification
For example: secondary II diploma, CFC, AFP or academic/vocational baccalaureate.
A limited number of candidates may be admitted on the basis of their application if they meet the following conditions:
Provide proof of two years' additional professional experience to that required for holders of a tertiary B qualification, with a minimum of five years' professional experience;
For all certification programs: Demonstrate that you have acquired the necessary scientific or methodological knowledge, for example by having completed a preliminary methodological module.
