Evelyne Rechenmann joins ISFB: strengthening the link between talent and financial institutions
December 17, 2025
Newly arrived at the ISFB, Evelyne takes on the role of Recruitment Specialist with a clear mission: to connect job seekers with the needs of member banks. With solid experience in the banking sector, she contributes to positioning the ISFB as a true center of expertise and career development.
Evelyne, you recently joined ISFB as a Recruitment Specialist. Can you describe the scope of your role?
My main role is to act as a link between our member banks and job seekers who are not currently employed by our partner institutions. This involves both supporting regional employment agencies in improving people's employability by highlighting their skills, and assisting banking institutions in their search for talent to support their competitiveness in a constantly changing environment. I therefore manage a pool of skills, which also includes young university graduates who want to enter the world of work and banking in particular, especially those who have attended the ISFB Summer School.
Could you tell us about your background and what led you to join the ISFB?
I have always been passionate about languages, and it was this linguistic knowledge that led me to work in various fields before finally finding my calling in recruitment. I then spent more than twelve years at Credit Suisse as a Senior Recruiting Partner, during which time I hired many talented individuals for various areas of the bank. I had the good fortune to come across the ISFB while I was looking for a new challenge that would be meaningful to me. I was immediately attracted to this professional association, and the fact that it is recognized as a public utility reinforced my decision to accept this assignment.
Why does ISFB offer a recruitment center? Is that part of its mission?
Absolutely, that's a relevant question. This new division is part of the ISFB's desire to position itself as a center of expertise and career development, since recruitment is an important stage in the life cycle of any employee. It is important to understand that we are not a new recruitment agency; in fact, we are firmly committed to never recruiting anyone currently employed by an ISFB member or client institution. Every month, we support many people who are not employed by our member institutions and who have skills that are very useful for the job market. This service is therefore useful for our members, who can hire talent more quickly and who have been supported in advance by our organization, for the experts concerned, who will find a job quickly, and ultimately for the community, as our approach also aims to reduce the time spent by regional employment offices.
What do you consider to be the main challenges currently facing your field of activity?
In my opinion, one of the main challenges is related to knowing our members and timing. We need to anticipate the needs of financial institutions in order to present them with relevant candidates without wasting time.
Of course, this field is also highly competitive, but this is where ISFB has the advantage thanks to its collaboration with employment agencies and its cross-sector partnership with financial institutions. These close ties enable it to carry out a detailed analysis of the needs and skills sought, thereby benefiting its members. Furthermore, our services are particularly attractive to small organizations, such as independent managers, who sometimes find it more difficult to recruit talent due to their lack of visibility in the job market.
What are your priorities for the coming months?
My priorities are, on the one hand, to meet with our member banks in order to provide them with support for their recruitment needs and, on the other hand, to get to know all the talented individuals who are currently looking for a job so that I can assist them in their search.
