June 1, 2026
At its 2026 Annual General Meeting, the Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire (ISFB) announced the appointment of Mr. Xavier Bonna, Managing Partner of Lombard Odier & Cie SA, to its Board, effective June 1, 2026.
The ISFB Board, chaired by Mr. Christian Skaanild, Managing Partner of Bordier & Cie, brings together representatives from member banks who are involved at the highest level in the management of banking and financial institutions operating in French-speaking Switzerland. The ISFB’s Executive Board is led by Mr. Mathias Baitan. As a professional association, the ISFB offers its members shared services in the areas of training, skills development, and human resources.
“The return of Lombard Odier & Cie to the ISFB Board sends a strong signal to our professional association and to the French-speaking Swiss financial center. It underscores the importance of a collective commitment by banks to training, skills development, and preparing for the jobs of tomorrow,” said Christian Skaanild, President of the Institute.
Xavier Bonna said: “ I am pleased to join the ISFB Board, which plays a central role in the French-speaking Swiss financial center. In a profession where technical expertise remains essential, the quality of relationships, active listening, and knowledge sharing make the difference in the long run. The ISFB plays a key role in upholding these standards by connecting banks, industry professionals, and the sector’s future needs. It is in this spirit that I look forward to serving on its Board.”
With this appointment, the ISFB is strengthening its governance and strategic role among banks and financial institutions in French-speaking Switzerland. The Institute is thus continuing its mission: to bring together industry stakeholders to focus on skills development, employability, and preparing for the banking and financial professions of the future.
