The HR Directors' Circle of Member Banks Met at UBS

June 22, 2026

As part of its activities, the ISFB regularly brings together groups of experts from the banking and financial sectors. These ISFB Circles provide representatives of the French-speaking Swiss financial ecosystem with a forum for discussion organized by function, focusing on the skills that cut across the various lines of business within the profession.

The ISFB Circles bring together representatives from the ISFB ecosystem, organized by function, to share their perspectives on the strategic skills required for the profession. Accessible by personal invitation, these meetings further the Institute’s mission: to forge meaningful connections between training, certification, careers, and the evolution of banking professions.

Among these events is the annual morning meeting of HR directors from member institutions. This year, the ISFB Member Banks’ HR Directors’ Circle was held at the UBS offices in Les Acacias.

The morning session was opened by Mr. Cédric Lovis, Regional Head of the Construction & Real Estate segment, who welcomed the participants on behalf of UBS. Ms. Christine Pradervand, HR Business Partner for the Geneva Region, then took the floor, followed by an introduction from Mathias Baitan, Executive Director of the ISFB.

Dr. Erwan Bellard, a lecturer at the University of Geneva, presented a preview of the initial findings from the ISFB Observatory on Banking and Financial Skills. His presentation provided an opportunity to share the initial insights from the work conducted with member institutions on trends in job roles, skills, and training needs.

Christelle Zagato, Research and Surveys Specialist at ISFB, then presented the initial findings from the survey conducted among employees in the banking and financial sector in French-speaking Switzerland. This survey complements the Observatory’s work by providing insight into how professionals perceive changes in their field, as well as their needs and priorities.

These findings will be the subject of three publications that will be presented at the ISFB Observatory’s annual event, to be held in late August, first to member institutions and then to the general public.

The second part of the morning was devoted to a workshop led by Evelyne Rechenmann, a member of the ISFB Executive Board in charge of the Career Division. The discussion focused on adaptability and talent management, two topics that have become central to HR departments in a banking sector facing rapid changes in job roles, tools, and professional expectations.

The ISFB would like to extend its warmest thanks to UBS for hosting the event, as well as to all the participants for their insightful discussions.
