ISFB 2024 evening

160 graduates receive their ISFB Certificate of Specialization

The ISFB Soirée took place on Thursday November 7 in Geneva, in the company of some 180 guests, including the ISFB certificate winners from the last two semesters, HR managers and representatives from member banks, as well as the Institute's lecturers and skills advisors.

Chairman Christian Skaanild highlighted ISFB's key initiatives for 2024, marked by a strategy of diversification and an enriched service offering. He emphasized ISFB's central role as a Competence and Career Center in French-speaking Switzerland. He was delighted with the development of new strategic partnerships, and the strengthened services in skills assessment, coaching and evaluation, aimed at supporting employers and employees in a rapidly changing sector.

Significant growth in the number of certificates awarded in 2024

Managing Director Mathias Baitan went on to detail the profound transformation of the Institute over the past two years. He highlighted the significant growth in the number of certificates awarded, multiplied by four since 2021, as well as the rise in ISFB's visibility in the French-speaking financial center. He attributed this success to a clear strategy, a rigorous implementation plan and the collective mobilization of players in the financial ecosystem. He also praised the involvement of partners, experts and the renewed ISFB team, and reaffirmed the Institute's commitment to maintaining the employability and skills of industry professionals.

The winners were then honored, as they took to the stage to receive their ISFB certificate and traditional headdress.

A changing banking landscape

Frédéric Lelièvre, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of L'Agefi, then addressed the topic of "Changes in the Swiss banking landscape: how to decipher these mutations", offering keys to a better understanding of these developments.

A round-table discussion moderated by Myriam Delouvrier, Director of Farner Suisse Romande, explored reactions to these transformations in the Swiss banking landscape, in the presence of Ms. Aline Kleinfercher Claret, Human Resources Director of CA Indosuez, Mr. Edouard Cuendet, Director of Fondation Genève Place Financière, Mr. Frédéric Lelièvre, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Agefi and Mr. Mathias Baitan, Managing Director of ISFB.

The ISFB Member Award award, which is presented each year to a bank that has made a particular commitment to employee training, was presented to Clara Maréchal of Société Générale Private Banking (SGPB).

In a convivial and festive atmosphere, the ISFB evening continued, as tradition would have it, with a cocktail reception in honor of the prizewinners.
